FOXBUSINESSNEWS.COM just reported that the federal government is looking at assigning FICO scores to patients who take medicine. In case you don’t recall what a FICO score is, think about credit ratings. IF you have bad credit, you will have a low FICO score. If you have fair credit, you will have an average FICO score. The question is, why would the federal government want to assign a score to you in the first place?

The article suggested that if a person had a low score (they didn’t take their medicine as directed) they could get a call from “someone” suggesting that the patient make sure they were taking the medicine as directed.

If this strikes you a bit “Big Brother-ish” , you are not alone. Wouldn’t it be best not to have to rely on the medicine? Treating and inhibiting symptoms is the primary focus of most medicine.
